Is Harbors Freight Table Saws Any Good?

The first question that comes to mind is “Are Harbor Freight Table Saws Any Good?” I have been using these products for about 10 years now and they are my best friend in the woodworking business. There are many good things about them that make them a top choice among woodworkers of all skill levels. What do I mean by that? Let’s take a look at a couple of examples.

The most important quality that you are going to find in a product like the air Harbor Freight Table Saws is the ability to make long, detailed cuts on a wide variety of materials. This quality makes these saws excellent for working with just about anything that you have on hand. It doesn’t matter if your material is thin or thick. It doesn’t matter if you are cutting out a piece of furniture or out the side of an airplane. It works with just about anything that you can imagine.

If we are just talking about general uses though, what is Harbor Freight Table Saws good at? Here are two examples of the types of projects that I have cut out with my scroll saw blades. You may even be surprised by what you find out.

First, I started out with a piece of unfinished pine. I wanted to finish it in oak but I didn’t know what type of wood to use. I did find that the lighter colored woods worked well so I picked oak. Of course, the oak isn’t always the easiest color to work with especially if you are a novice. It took me a few tries but I ended up with a gorgeous piece of oak furniture. If we are going to talk about cutting material then I would have to mention two different types of saw. The first is a horizontal band saw which is primarily used for cutting sheet materials. Most saws have teeth that have a distance between them. You put the material that you want to cut into the teeth of the saw blade pushes material against the teeth and out the other side. Because the teeth are closer together the end result is a cleaner cut.

The second type is a vertical band saw. This saw is mainly used for wood cutting horizontal patterns. Again, the wood has a distance between the teeth and the material you are cutting. This saw also comes with a blade guard. What is Harbor Freight Table Saws any good at?

Like the vertical saw the horizontal one will use a blade to cut the wood. There are three types of blade designs: straight, v-groove or angled. Some saws will use the combination of these to cut your material.

To answer the question are Harbors Freight Table Saws any good? They are great. I use mine almost every day at my job. When I go home I make sure that I have one in the back of my truck. That way when I am working on something I do not have to run all over town to get the saw I need.

The saw cuts everything from wood to aluminum. Sometimes it cuts materials right through my wood board to my garage. I cannot tell you how many times I have needed wood lumber and knew that I could not get to my work shop before I got my Harbor Freight Table Saw.

One thing that I must mention is that this saw makes ripping materials like vinyl and metal very easy. It makes cutting carpet and paper very easy. It is lightweight so that you do not have to carry it around. I have used mine to take apart a TV for someone. The ease of use and weight makes this saw an excellent choice.

If you are looking for a Saw that does everything but the kitchen table, you might want to look at the Harbor Freight Table Saws. It does everything that I mentioned above and much more. This saw is made in New Jersey and is one of the best products for a saw. If you are wondering “are harbors freight table saws any good?”
